Spoiler stares at Batgirl, as they swing across the Gotham skyline. “Ya know Cassie, you maybe a little harsh on the monkey boy."
"He killed Spoiler..." Batgirl starts.
“And? So did I. It's not like you don't want me to be your friend anymore. Jason look at the body count he's racked up you still see him as a brother you've even protected him a couple of times. What about Black Wind you were all drooling over that guy. He was a terrorist."

“No just listen you tried to help Alpha stop killing a guy you met what once before you tried to do that? Yet the boy you claim to be in love with that Robin introduced you too I might add a guy who's a pretty good judge of character You get all ,mad at him when he blasts Slade who heals as fast as Wolverine Wilson and some dog woman that wanted to kill you. Or haven't you noticed he only kills when his life or yours is threatened."

Man this sucks! Cass is off in Gotham probably a good thing I can stop being angrily gestured at. Spoiler is with her... Vella on some misadventure with Shiara something about my gay nephew HS (I mean really what straight guy would wear that costume willingly?) I don't know where Inertia is probably off to something perverted would be a safe bet, and Anthony is locked up in his workshop.
Trunks and Mirai are somewhere... Bra is in Paris France. Dad is at The Amazing Mutant Race 4. so I'm the only one here to protect this city. Some terrorist group was stealing one of my mom's weapons prototypes.

"Too bad you're not getting them." I dodge a swing, and slam my fist in his guts he spits out maggots, and worms and black liquid gross. That distraction was enough for him to smack me through a wall.

More like hot air I think to myself yeah he blabs about suffering... I'd like to see him survive one sparring match with my dad. Okay as a normal saiyan he may be tough let's see how he deals with a super saiyan.
I transform and pound more worms and black stuff put off him as he falls I notice something on his hand... a black ring. Like Vella's Green ring. The same kind of ring Black Mask wore.
Now it makes sense... No ki, the maggots and worms I'm fighting a corpse.
“So the rumors about your father are true he can transform into a stronger version of himself. You have inherited this ability."
“And you're a freaking zombie!" I spit. “Prepare to go back to the grave flesh eating monster!"
I set up to fire a ki blast when he calls up a tornado that sucks the air out of my lungs. Damn I can just hear Dad now “boy you should have put up a ki shield to keep your oxygen! Hmph now you're going to die oh well I made the right choice in making Trunks the Prince of all Saiyans, and my heir."
Damn it Trunks is an empty headed moron I should be the next King! Then I sense two human power levels I recognize both, one I know intimately Cass, and Steph.
Crap! If this thing kills me... he'll try to eat them.I know they can take care of themselves, and all but when powers are involved... no! I'm not letting Cass get eaten I don't care if she is mad at me And she'll probably be madder after this "FINAL SHINE ATTACK!"
The stupid tornado screws up my aim I only cut him in half. At least it makes him stop with the wind. “Okay Zombie where were we?"

Cass starts crying. That's weird why does she care about some zombie.' Oh great you killed her first crush again." Steph looks on in horror.
“No he was still dead. I take the ring off his finger, and toss it at her “look familiar?"
“Oh great maybe we should give these things to Vella, so she can take them to the GLC I mean they look like black versions of their rings.
Cass glares at me.
I glare back “Would you rather I died instead? He's already dead Cass."
No... I don't want you to die... I just never wanted to see you... blast off Black Wind's head either."
“Sweetie he was a zombie..."
“I know... I saw the ... maggots, and the black ring... not mad, but I will help you change just give me time."
“Change? What are you talking about? Did I miss something?"
She was all silent after that as the body turned to dust. I turn to Spoiler. “You know it's a good thing you came back the old fashioned way with the Dragon Balls. Just think you could be wearing one of those black rings right now."
She shivers at the thought. I thought maybe I could talk to Cass, so I go to the Legacy House. She locks me out of her cave though. Damn I sleep on the couch.
Stephanie Brown and my sister wake me up this morning.
“Why are you sleeping on the couch? Kara kick you out?"
"Kara, What?" So sleepy.
Iron Lad claps me on the shoulder better hurry up our fearless leader Batgirl is on a tear this morning probably had a fight with Nightwing again."
“Hey do not diss the Batgirl!" Spoiler demands.
We walk into the meeting room where Inertia is screaming "this ain't right! You ain't supposed to be here!"
Batgirl gives the rest of us a look.
“Okay which one of you let him get drunk?" She scolds.
Thad raves “Where’s Cassandra Cain? What the Sprock is Barbara freakin' Gordon doing here?"
Babs slaps her fore head." Why did I take over mentoring these kids, you owe me Dick Grayson."
Cassandra Cain? Who's that? And why does that name sound familiar when I've never heard it before?
